Founding partner Dr Matthew Clarke, qualified in 2009 and has experienced the changing trends in healthcare in the UK and Australia. The doctor-patient relationship has been eroded due to limited accessibility and time pressures. Negatively affecting patient outcomes and the job satisfaction for the doctor, these dissolve the quality of healthcare delivered. Striving for better, Locke aims to rekindle the patient-doctor relationship.

Whilst private insurers may offer cheap virtual appointments to the masses, at Locke you are not a number. We believe in quality of healthcare and this starts with knowing the patient and knowing their values, understanding what is important to them, recognising when something is not right. This is best done in person.

FAQs

Will my insurance pay for a private GP?

We advise that you check with your provider to see if they cover private GP appointments. We can provide an invoice after the appointment allowing you to claim back the fee, if your policy covers this.

Can I discuss multiple problems at my appointment?

Yes. With extended 30 minute appointments as standard there is no rush to explore your symptoms. 1 hour appointments are also available.

Can I see the same doctor each time?

One of the key benefits of Locke is the option to see the same doctor for each appointment. Continuity of care further enhances great clinical care.
